These terms govern the automotive services provided by Summit Auto Care to customers in Australia. By engaging our services, you agree to these terms and conditions.
Services Provided
Summit Auto Care offers comprehensive automotive services including:
- Vehicle maintenance and scheduled servicing
- Diagnostic and repair services for all vehicle systems
- Tire installation, balancing, and wheel alignment
- Brake system inspection, maintenance, and repair
- Pre-purchase vehicle inspections
- Emergency automotive assistance
Customer Responsibilities
Customers agree to:
- Provide accurate information about vehicle history and issues
- Authorize repairs and services through written or electronic consent
- Pay for services according to agreed pricing and payment terms
- Retrieve vehicles promptly upon completion of work
- Maintain appropriate insurance coverage for their vehicles
Pricing and Payment
Our pricing structure operates as follows:
- Detailed estimates provided before commencing major repairs
- Labor rates based on industry standards and complexity of work
- Parts charged at competitive market rates with appropriate markup
- Payment due upon completion unless prior arrangements made
- Accepted payment methods include cash, card, and approved credit terms
Warranties and Guarantees
Summit Auto Care provides warranties on work performed:
- 6-month warranty on labor for most repairs and services
- Parts warranties as provided by manufacturers
- Warranty coverage excludes normal wear items and misuse
- Warranty claims must be reported promptly upon discovery
Liability and Insurance
Regarding liability and protection:
- Summit Auto Care maintains comprehensive business insurance
- Liability limited to the cost of services performed
- Customers responsible for personal items left in vehicles
- Force majeure events may affect service delivery timelines
Vehicle Storage
For vehicles left on our premises:
- Reasonable care taken to protect customer vehicles
- Storage fees may apply for vehicles left beyond agreed pickup dates
- Summit Auto Care not responsible for items left in vehicles
- Vehicles may be moved as necessary for facility operations
Dispute Resolution
In case of disagreements:
- Initial resolution attempts through direct communication
- Mediation through automotive industry dispute resolution services
- Australian Consumer Law protections apply to all services
- Queensland state laws govern this agreement
Privacy and Confidentiality
We respect customer privacy by:
- Maintaining confidentiality of customer information
- Using information only for service-related purposes
- Complying with Australian Privacy Principles
- Securely disposing of outdated customer records
Modifications to Terms
These terms may be updated to reflect:
- Changes in automotive industry practices
- Updates to Australian consumer protection laws
